You will be responsible for the full life-cycle design, implementation, and socialization of a configuration management ecosystem hinged on software development best practices and approaches. You will work closely with platform and engineering teams to create, convert and/or maintain all critical artifacts. Other duties include: Design, implement, and mature a highly scalable server management and automation ecosystem Author Policies, procedures, and best practices Define and rationalize a critical technology stack Develop and maintain current state, transition state, and target state artifacts Ability to influence stakeholders and customers to align to strategic direction Working with our internal customers to help them more quickly meet business demands What youre good at The Solution Engineer works as team member alongside the Product Leads, Technical Leads and other supporting team members to deliver a complete solution. Their role within SDLC: Be the go-to technologist on our team for DevOps and CI/CD Develop and continually extend CI/CD stacks using well-known technologies and tools, implemented on a cloud infrastructure Collaborate with the team to create and maintain one or more application build & deployment reference frameworks Actively participate in pre-sales efforts, sharing technical knowledge, identifying client needs, offering insights and solution options, and leveraging innovative demos Architect and lead implementations of DevOps solutions for our clients, mostly through short-term engagements while collaborating with other consultants. Create a DevOps framework, including CI/CD capabilities, Configuration Management, and Source Code Management What you have Require strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems Essential to have experience building and operating distributed / large scale systems Essential to have hands-on understanding of Terraform, Ansible, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Packer, Elasticsearch, Memcache Prefer experience with monitoring and logging tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Zabbix and Nagios Software Engineering mindset preferring software engineering processes like Agile, Scrum, etc. Knowledge of the enterprise technology space: languages, frameworks, techniques, industry trends (hybrid and native) Ability to drive through influence ideal solution strategy with agility and leadership qualities which engineers recognize and respect Significant automation experience in deploying, patching, and teardown of Server Builds and other infrastructure assets General skills Must have SD-DevOps Engineer 3 year(s) of experience Nice to have SALT Scripting 1 year(s) of experience SaltStack 2 year(s) of experience Languages Must have English Native or bilingual proficiency   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
