Job Description HP ALM Administrator/ Senior Test Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating change requests through both local and global IT organizations. This includes several activities:

1. Collect complaints from users about issues encountered during everyday use of the system.
2. Collect enhancement and feature requests from users.
3. Communicate issues and other requests to the ALM Sys Admin or file IT change requests.
4. Coordinate with the local users during system updates.
5. Train users on basic features and use, or coordinate training for such.
6. "Architect" the use of the system to implement best practices from the industry for product lifecycle management in R&D environments.
7. Oversee the assignment of Defects as the CCB (Change Control Board) in the role of Defect Manager (DM). This would involve supporting ALM workflow transitions in the development lifecycle.
8. Create and manage Dashboards for the users.
9. Create and manage Releases and Libraries in ALM.
10. Format reports for viewing (including exporting) data in ALM.
11. Create, or assist in the creation of, Work Instructions for system use.
12. Define and maintain methodologies for keeping requirements synchronized between DOORS and ALM projects.

Qualifications

The incumbent will possess experience in the use of Requirements and Test Asset Management software packages.

1. Extensive experience working with Application Lifecycle Management tools like HP ALM, IBM Rational CLM, Borland StarTeam, Atlassian JIRA, Microsoft TFS, Telelogic ALM, etc.
2. Project management experience.
3. Experienced working in a highly regulated environment (FDA, DOD, DOE, etc.)
4. A basic understanding of database structure and SQL queries in a database.
5. Extensive knowledge of requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS
6. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g. Statistical Methods, Software Risk Assessment, Software Testing, SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile practices).
7. Ability to organize and present technical and project management overviews without assistance.
8. Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding of business objectives and cost implications.

Educational Qualification:

B.S.in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields

M.S (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
