Job Description Analyst: CMMI, C, Software Testing,

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of software quality and for ensuring that quality processes are established to ensure test software and equipment hardware meet required specifications. The incumbent in this position is required to focus on the consistent application of company policies in areas of lean manufacturing principles(ACE), quality, cost reduction and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will support safety initiatives and provide leadership through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Position has cross functional responsibilities to ensure product design, quality, costs, and on-time delivery are aligned to goals and objectives of all stakeholders. The Software Quality Engineer will also work with senior management to support company objectives by providing input for long and short range planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Scrutinize software products for accuracy including design, development, integration and testing.

2. Scrutinize documentation for accuracy and consistency including development plans, design documents, traceability matrix, engineering drawings, procedures, and engineering orders.

3. Perform audits and evaluations on programs for compliance to plans, procedures and requirements.

4. Establish and document appropriate process controls and quality standards. Controls include, but are not limited to, Process Control Plans (PCP), Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, and Workmanship Standards.

5. Analyze performance and failure data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Experience in C language, Labview, and /or Assembler; Software testing procedures and tools; and proven ability in leading improvement efforts through cross functional teams. CMMI desired.
Ability to follow industry-compliant software quality standards; DO178B, DO254, AS9100 and AS9006.

Education Bachelors degree in related engineering discipline; or relevant experience (computer science, mathematics, engineering etc).

Experience/Qualifications Minimum of 3 years quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace).
