Administration will include performing installations, upgrades and providing on-going maintenance on various SAP Business package applications. Responsibilities Include: Provide project management for new SAP Installation and SAP Upgrades Strong written and verbal communication skills. Perform installations, upgrades and patch applications to SAP software products, including R/3 (ECC 5.0 and 6.0), BW, SAP Business Objects, SCM, SRM, CRM, XI/PI, Enterprise Portals, SAP GRC (Virsa) and other SAP components Work in a mixed server environment covering Unix and Wintel servers using Oracle, SAP DB, and SQL Server databases Work collaboratively with the SAP Functional teams from the business and regional support hubs (local IT team) and management team on projects, issues and enhancements. Work to triage customer incidents and queries. Interface with cross functional technical teams (Infrastructure and database teams) and business unit IT staff while providing leadership and guidance for SAP platform with regard to patching, monitoring, capacity planning Performance/resource management to include SAP monitoring, availability configuration, application tuning, prevention and application optimization activities Provide technical guidance for large-scale domestic and international projects including application installation and tuning, planning and installing patches in test and production environments Design, develop and implement disaster recovery practices, procedures and plans for SAP environment Provide problem resolutions and be part of a 24x7 on-call SAP support team Liaise with, Multiple SAP Functional teams, Infrastructure teams (UNIX and Wintel) and third party vendors and contractors Person should be willing to convert to a Capgemini employee after contract term and have no visa or contractural issues that would prevent conversion. The candidate must be proficient in the administration and maintenance of multiple SAP systems as well as have sufficient knowledge of concepts to allow for system landscape design. Administration will include performing installations, upgrades and providing on-going maintenance on various SAP Business package applications. Must have excellent skills with troubleshooting failures. Netweaver certification prefered. Indicate practical and/or specialized knowledge and technical skill(s) required for this role.
