Job Description Developer: CSS, DHTML, HTML, Java Javascript Jsp Web Services

Web Development :

Expectations:

candidate that have expertise in taking visual wireframes or graphical representations and creating the HTML/CSS/JavaScript front-end web-app and connect it via AJAX to app-server requests or REST services (could return results in Json, XML, etc.) -- THIS IS A MUST

Candidates that actually have working experience where they worked with a GUI UX designer and took their designs and created HTML template/frameworks that could connect via AJAX calls and repaint the page via say jQuery to manipulate the DOM. -- IS A MUST

o Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures.
o Monitors technology trends and researches relevant technical developments for practical application at Company.
o Participates in the development of tactical or strategic technology directions.
o Participates in meetings with content, fellow coders, applications developers and technology & operations staff, identifying issues/concerns, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
o Works with the business unit to under their needs, review requirements and provide feasibility input.
o Participates in technical projects in support of applications development projects.
o Educates team members about the technical issues of systems development projects.
o Analyzes and evaluates the technical requirements of proposed systems.
o Assists application development teams in the selection and application of appropriate technical standards.
o Assists in the estimation of technical architecture development efforts and prioritization of tasks for technical architecture releases and implementation.
o Participates in the design of technical architecture components in support of application requirements.
o Conducts analysis of hardware and software, as needed for the implementation of a technical architecture.
o Participates in the development efforts with the application development team members.
o Provides status updates and reports to project management and development team members on a consistent basis.
o Develops or integrates components of the technical architecture, as required.
o Ensures the quality of the technical architecture by conducting thorough unit and system testing.
o Participates in the appropriate implementation of the technical architecture, in cooperation with technology and operations staff, to ensure continued overall reliable execution of systems.
o Supports use of best practices.
o Constructively contributes in team and department meetings and training opportunities.
o Performs other work as required or requested as well as additional assignments.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

o Thorough knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSP General knowledge of supporting front-end disciplines (Design, IA) with thorough understanding of the front-end impacts.
o General knowledge of back-end technologies along with thorough understanding of the front-end impacts.
o General understanding of technology trends and technical developments.
o General knowledge of client/server technical architectures.
o General knowledge of desktop software and hardware technologies.
o General knowledge of applications development processes and tools.
o Demonstrated ability to work in teams, participate in the development of objectives and resolution of issues.
o Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill requirements as requested.
o 6 Years Web Development experience
