Job Description Developer: Web Development, Web 2.0 Concepts, CSS, Ajax

Required Skills: eCommerce experience Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript 5+ years of development experience Job description: Title: Sr. Web Developer - Front End Location: Columbus, OH Length: 3 Month Contract-to-hire Apex Systems is currently seeking a senior level front end web developer with experience in eCommerce for a three month contract-to-hire opportunity in Columbus, OH. Requirements: 5+ years experience in front-end web development. · Web 2.0 technologies (i.e. blogs, html5 video, RSS, personalization, and widgets). · XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, and libraries such as JQuery. Strong knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform differences. Working experience with MVC Framework. Previous working experience with eCommerce is required. Background in UI related unit testing tools (i.e. HttpUnit, JSUnit, HTML Unit, etc.) Experience with the FRY OCP Platform, HTML5 Media, and Facebook application development experience is a huge plus. Ability to design and develop high-performance code for complex, high-volume, transaction-oriented, database-driven websites and strong analytical, design, and problem solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently. Flexibility to switch quickly between projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be a collaborative and contributing team member. Strong communication, both written and verbal. Responsibilities: Help to ensure that the clients website adheres to web standards and best practice guidelines including SEO and 508 compliance. Assist and support the development team with projects. Help to coordinate cross-project collaboration and knowledge sharing. Research and investigate new option and features for the client to incorporate into the UI. Work closely with the creative and UI teams to ensure successful implementation of new interface design and functionality. Work with business sponsors to develop eCommerce content and project requirements. Execute changes to the companys website. ***Candidate MUST be able to pass a background screen.
