Instructional Support Specialist will report to the Director of Educational Technology and Digital Media. The duties include, but are not limited to the following: Technician for integration, selection, operation and maintenance of campus projection, video, sound, and AV systems. Highly skilled in the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and configuration of Crestron & Extron Controlled Systems. Thorough understanding of HD Systems including transport-level issues to include bandwidth, HDCP, EDID, IP streaming and 8G transport protocols. Experienced in the design, hardware selection and integration of AV Systems Coordinates and oversees Audio/Visual vendors work on projects. Document Audio/Visual systems as-built. Explains maintenance needs, replacement schedule, and equipment operation to College Administrators, Faculty, Staff and students Provides peer to peer training within the department. o Explores new uses of new technology. o Sound understanding of computer hardware including IP networking display resolution and troubleshooting and video streaming. Collaborates with CTS staff to carry out these goals. Minimum Qualifications: High School degree or GED. Proficiency in soldering and ability to troubleshoot electronics devices to the board level. Strong written and verbal communication skills 3 Years of experience in the AV or related field showing increasing involvement in Design, Installation, and maintenance of complex systems. Preferred Qualifications: College Degree or Technical School Diploma in related field or equivalent military training and/or experience. CTS/I/D or equivalent industry-recognized certifications.
