This task may include: o Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving servers, L3/L4 switches, firewalls, and load balancers. o Utilize traffic capturing tools to troubleshoot issues. o Create new firewalls rules using both CLI and ASDM. o Create new load balancer context and virtual interfaces using both CLI and ANM. o Create certificates for VPN users o Audit current firewall rules • Provide daily operational support of the environments and training (knowledge transfer) for the configuration and operation of the network environments. Create a plan to complete training and provide status to management. • Assist with alignment of Network Support strategic goals to CalPERS/ITSB Strategic Plan and architecture. • Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including procedures, and both physical and logical network connectivity diagrams. This task may include: o Document procedure manuals. o Update current Visio diagrams. • Provide technical support and guidance to the Network Support Manager and staff and act as a technical expert to Network Support customers. • Assist in testing, and issue resolution regarding all network components. • Provide migration strategies to minimize or alleviate risk, where appropriate. • Provide a nightly log of activity, accomplishments, incidents, service requests, and items that need to be handed off to the day shift team. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The incumbent must have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing the services above and possess current technical certifications in the following: • Cisco CCSP • Cisco CCNA • Cisco CCDA • Cisco CCDP • Cisco CCNP • Cisco CCIP The incumbent must have experience configuring and troubleshooting the following hardware: • Cisco 6509/6513/3750/3560 switches • Cisco 6500 Firewall modules • Cisco 6500 ACE load balancer modules • Cisco 6500 NAM modules. • Cisco 5500 ASA firewalls   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
