The responsibilities include participating in efforts to design, plan, execute and install current and new network infrastructure to support isolated datacenter and network-firewall infrastructure. Duties can include performing software and hardware install, upgrades, migrating and implementing systems within enterprise infrastructure standards, disaster recovery and backup planning and execution, customer support, troubleshooting, answering technical questions, & providing recommendations to senior management. Overall, candidate should have at least 10 years experience in the following business processes: - Experience in ITIL version 2 process planning and implementation - Expertise in implementation of large complicated infrastructure environments - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills - Experience in Technical Writing and Documentation Overall candidate should have the following general technical skills: - Extensive experience Network Security (at least 10 years) - Extensive experience Cisco Routers/Switches, Firewalls, VPN Devices (10 years) - Experience with Juniper and Palo-alto Firewall (3-5 years) The Qualifications section noted below are qualifications that all candidates require regardless of the specific technical area. Network Engineer (Data Center) As a Datacenter the candidate will help design, build, implement, upgrade and migrate agencies to old and new enterprise level network infrastructure. There will be multiple projects to implement a variety of datacenter and network firewall services. Candidate should have the following technical experience (10 years): • Extensive experience Data Center security – 10 years • The candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in large multitenant and multiple location enterprise, service provider, or data center environments supporting large network and firewall installations • The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience working with Cisco Datacenter Networks and firewalls, including design, installation, configuration, and support of these devices with exposure to Palo Alto Firewalls • They will have extensive experience with design, installation, configuration, and support of multi-tenant Datacenters/firewall configurations (such as Nexus switches and NX-IOS, Virtual Firewall Contexts, Virtual Switching, OVT, and VSS) • Experience with data center consolidates; such as enterprise mergers, hardware and software centralization • They will have extensive experience with design, installation, configuration, and support of high availability firewall topologies (active/active and/or active/standby clusters) • They will have extensive experience with design, installation, configuration, and support of redundant applications over multiple data centers, including disaster recovery sites • The candidate will have extensive experience implementing routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IBGP, BGP) on multi-functional large switches, routers, and next generation firewalls. • The candidate will have experience in knowledge transfer of technical information to other technical staff Contractor will be required to have the ability to perform the transfer of technical information to other technical staff.
