This is the customers hardware of choice and as such is not among the most common CLI environments to work in due to the nature of its configuration and manufacturers code firmware. The selected candidate must have a background that has exposed them to a variety of network OEM equipment and firmware, demonstrating an ability to quickly adjust to new operating systems and ability to learn on the go. The selected candidate must have worked as an Architect/Sr. Level Engineer that developed the skills that demonstrates the ability to lead an organization in design, solutioning, project management and developing Implementation plans for presenting to the customer. The nature of the position is to own the environment, promote HP Network Hardware and assist the customer in making critical decisions regarding the life cycle management of their infrastructure. Having a background that has exposed the candidate to HP Networking will also be a plus. This position is at the engineering leadership level and the selected candidate will be required to work with a small team of admins and engineers in an on-call scenario, after-hour work as well as weekends. The selected candidate will also support the customer Life and Safety environments for Police and Fire. Personal Attributes: Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, resourcefulness, and an ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Personal initiative is important, as is the ability to work with other cross functional team members. Ability to work in a fast paced environment; focus on customer service in a managed services environment reporting to multiple levels of command and. Ability to coach and mentor lower level administrators to help them gain the technical knowledge to support systems and improve the support model. Required Skills: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED · 4+ years as a Network Administrator, Engineer for a large networked environment with a in-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Ipsec, OSPF, VRRP, Spanning tree, CLI commands and the ability to be the primary point of escalation and problem solving leading a team · The selected candidate must have a background and work experience that demonstrates abilities and skills to perform duties as an architect for the environment, designing, engineering solutions and developing fully documented implementation plans · The selected candidate should have the demonstrated skills and abilities to be a thought leader for the organization that is forward thinking and being the primary point of engineering services and designing solutions that drives innovation for the customer · Knowledge and demonstrated skills working in a mixed hardware environment with in-depth experience with Cisco, Enterasys, Xtreme, HP and other hardware OEMs. · Demonstrated work experience with abilities to develop upgrade paths, hardware and environment life cycle management, documentation and presentation that help the customer focus priority and attention on the environment · Knowledge and skills working in a mixed operating system environment to include clustering, meshed technologies, blade enclosures · Experienced managing and supporting Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper WAN devices, SSLVPN solutions based of Fortinet OEM hardware equipment · Extensive knowledge and skills working with and supporting IP Sec tunnels, connectivity of hardware devices from   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
