Job Description: Client has an immediate need for a Senior Systems engineer for one of our large healthcare clients in the NYC. This individual will be the lead engineer supporting the clients build and migration to their new data center. This exciting role will have you touching on all aspects of the build and move of 1000s of servers. Position: Senior Systems Engineer Duration: 8 month+ long term contract Location: 100% remote with potential travel to NYC/NJ sites as needed Compensation: based on experience Duties will include, but not be limited to: Build the and configure environment, both physical and virtual Create documentation, including run books, Visio drawings, update CMDB, etc. Work with Networking, Architecture, Datacenter Operations, application owners, vendors, etc. to gather requirements, establish standards, etc. Ensure Datacenter and Network preparedness for new hardware Create and work on Change Tickets, Service Requests, and Incidents as dictated by the workflow and Management Review ticket queues and resolve tickets in a timely manner Plan with Application owners to migrate systems to New datacenter Add capacity to physical and virtual infrastructure where required Execute on application migration plans Identify applications that will be P2Vd Execute plans to refresh or decommission server components in IDC 5, 6, and 7 Work may require off hours and weekend support Required Skills: Strong experience with Cisco UCS blades, Fabric Interconnects, and technologies Strong experience with VMware 6.7 and 7.0, and technologies Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and 2019 technologies Strong understanding of block and file storage technologies Strong understanding of networking technologies Strong understanding of security technologies Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience Experience with datacenter migrations, including VM, P2V and physical migrations Prefer experience with VxRail and vSAN technologies Other duties as directed   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
