Ideally, all nice to have – but Cisco and PA and F5 are the primaries. Configuration and setup of routers – because they use routers like switches. The IP Network Engineering team is seeking a 3 resources. Location: APS- Deer Valley Contract Duration: 12+ months We are looking for senior level engineers with advanced skill sets and experience setting up enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and detailed network designs. Network Functions Verify requirements are consistent with scope and standards. Confirm with Architects and Senior Network Engineers to ensure implementation according to standard. Follow all change control processes. Be in attendance for required approval meetings such as Engineering Review Board, Pre-CAB, CAB and ECC/ DOC meetings. Ensure engineering packages are produced in accordance with proper documentation and approvals prior to moving forward with testing or implementation. Ensure proper testing and validation procedures are met prior to implementation to mitigate failures and Human Performance issues. Test configurations in lab environment prior to production. Ensure project turnover documentation is complete and thorough to set the stage for maintenance success. Attend applicable planning and coordination meetings as required. Complete Bill of Materials as required for each project and work with APS staff for quoting materials. Complete other supporting efforts as project requirements dictated on-time. Travel within Arizona may be required for site surveys, implementation and quality assurance. Vendor shall be onsite for all work performed. Standard office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM. Alternate work schedule must be approved by IT. There may be instances where after hours work is required. Contractor shall be proficient in the following: F5, Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Arista. Contract Services will adhere to the direction of the PMO Staff for all project-related deadline Senior Engineer 6 years Intermediate level understanding Conduct analysis, identify and implement solutions to solve business/performance problems. Define requirements for network projects or projects with network related dependencies Collaborate with engineers and analysts to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of network components to satisfy business requirements. Identify data, hardware, or software components required to satisfy design goals Develop and implement conceptual, logical, or physical network designs. Assist with other various network engineering functions as directed by lead engineers, APS employees, project managers, staff, and vendors Support Senior and Standard Engineers with project tasks and in-scope activities. Support the creation of requirements, project plans, technical documentation, and other project artifacts. Setup and configure hardware and software and proper implementation Develop training materials, processes, and procedures. Troubleshoot system and network configuration and issues.
