How does candidate fit into this? • Working in e-commerce department on their web and mobile platform (they have 3 apps). For the online portion that have the main public site (officedepot.com), the business site (business.officedepot.com), and their internal site. • Slowly moving their apps to the cloud and converting from a monolithic app to microservices. This dev will be working on the end of the sales funnel aspects, the more transactional side of the site. • Bringing person onboard because of the amount of work. Tech Stack: Java, Spring MVC and Spring Boot, cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, other cloud, DevOps, and containerization related), Struts, Maven, ElasticSearch, Mongo, MS SQL, and DB2. We are looking for an individual that can take the following responsibilities: • Collaborate with a team of developers and business analysts to ensure quality and timely project completion • Maintain and Enhance e-commerce sites as per requirements. • Design and Deploy Micro-services using company approved frameworks. • Think out of the box and design concrete, robust and scalable solutions • Effectively drive and deliver cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements. • Analysis and identification of technical areas of improvement within existing web applications • Work with other internal IT teams to complete project activates, such as infrastructure, architecture, operations, and database teams.
