Project involves migrating from Cobol to Java. Description: Develop and enhance processes for bill and letter formatting to support new business requirements using Java, Spring Batch frameworks, JCL and COBOL Design and develop modules for the bill formatting platform to support monthly releases as well as long-term strategic initiatives such as new bill format. Analyze requirements and high-level design and be able to produce detail design documents. Use the Spring API to automate manual steps in the bill formatting processes. Perform the role of a full-stack developer who can design, develop and deploy code to test environments using DevOps tools. Write SQL queries needed to maintain the business rules and application configuration. Experience working on multiple file formats such as XML, pdf, AFP etc. would be an advantage. Ensure that all code is unit tested with JUnit test cases to minimize testing & production defects. Skill sets 6-7 years overall industry experience. 3-4 years hands-on Java/J2EE experience. 2-3 years hands-on COBOL, JCL on Mainframe 2-3 years on Spring API Spring Batch, Spring Integration 1-2 years on Jenkins, GIT, JIRA 1-2 year on cloud automation tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation & Artifactory 1 year with container management using Docker & Kubernetes 2-3 years on JUnit test cases 2-3 years Oracle/MySQL SQL experience; Experience with NoSQL DBs would be a plus 2-3 years on Unix, Perl, Python shell scripting.
