Job Description Developer: Engineer Product, Configuration, ITSM Framework, Troubleshooting PowerShell

Seeking an experienced IT Service Delivery Engineer/Analyst to perform the configurations with the ITSM tool ServiceNow. The ideal candidate should have the ability to interface with staff at all levels, both technical and non technical. Have a solid understanding of an ITSM framework (ITIL / MOF) and excellent technical, written, professional, and verbal skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as requirements expand.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Support the ITSM ServiceNow infrastructure, configurations, and customizations
Development of workflows / processes, script includes, client scripts using
ServiceNow, orchestration, and integration on the Servicenow platform
Automate and simplify the management of the platform
Help drive efficiencies in first/second level support centers
Perform impact analysis of changes to components of services
Diagnose and resolve platform and user issues
Perform Level 3 support activities (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, investigation for issues within ServiceNow
Writing technical documentation, including design documentation, training
materials, and white papers
Liaising with architects, developers and district managers to ensure the platform meets all functional and nonfunctional requirements to management services
Ensuring quality IT delivery through the application of standards and technology
design principles, or by following best practices for IT service delivery
Identifying and assessing risks, determining impact to platform and mitigation plans
Perform data integrations within Servicenow with external applications
Assist service owners with constructing good request, change, incident, knowledge and change management
CMDB (configuration management database) experience within an enterprise
environment

Scripting capabilities (powershell, javascript, other)








Qualifications
Experience with cross-functional team service management
Experience in developing, communicating and implementing processes and/or services.
Ability to foster and manage relationships to aid in establishing effective controls
and monitoring of processes.
Ability to perform configurations within the Servicenow platform (MID, API
configurations, configure integrations)
Ability to assess customer needs, creatively approach solutions, effectively make decisions and influence the appropriate course of action.
Experience with techniques to continually evaluate and improve processes.
Ability to work independently to drive work forward and to take independent action with limited direction or supervision.
Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate
and simplify complex technical information for non-technical people. ITSM Tool Experience:
Service Now, Other ITIL SM tool



Education Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor degree in an Computer Science or Information Systems. (Masters degree is preferred)
ITIL Intermediate Certifications (Service Strategy, or Service Design)
Servicenow Admin / Developer Certification
Agile/ Scrum or PMI project management training
