The ideal candidate is a Java back end web developer who has a solid technical foundation, strong knowledge of web technologies, problem solving skills, and an ability to translate business needs into solutions. The candidate would be working with the web engineering team in the Retirement Solutions Newport Beach office. Responsibilities: * Working within a team developing new or modifying existing Java based web applications * Identify system requirements and recommend alternatives * Write detailed technical documentation * Write new feature code for enterprise systems * Design and coordinate SQL related changes as needed for new web app features * Engage in unit testing and other quality best practices Experience: * 5+ years Core Java Development * Experience creating service oriented applications * Expertise in the full SDLC from analysis to deployment * Good understanding object oriented development design patterns * Ability to work in small agile teams * Hands-on experience using J2EE complaint application servers * Experience building RESTFull APIs required * Relational database experience * Experience writing automated unit tests * Experience writing highly secure web applications * Experience implementing Spring Framework and Hibernate/iBatis * Familiar with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven Candidates should also be prepared with: * Ability to ramp-up-quickly, is proactive, works independently and takes ownership * Good troubleshooting skills, a problem solver, able to meet deadlines * Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow their skills * Excellent communication and teamwork skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
