Job Description :


We have multiple long-term contract Java Developer roles for new large-scale and high-visibility projects with tech such as server-side core java, multithreading, Spring, low latency systems, EMS, Distributed Caching, etc. Key details are below, but this role will be focusing on highly visible capital markets trading applications, working with the IT and business teams to create and implement the best code design for each trade application.




Key Aspects of Java Developer

Project Details: several trading application upgrade and new development projects
Salary Range: 124,800K (open to negotiation)!
Tech Stacks: Core Java (Collections, API, Concurrency), Multithreading, Spring, EMS (Tibco/MQ/Solace), Relational Database (SQL Server), Autosys, Unix Scripting, Oracle Coherence (Distributed Caching), some CI and Big Data
Environment: Agile Environment, working directly with the business
Team: Several teams are growing across the securities business, highly collaborative, open, fast-paced environment
Additional Aspects: strong growth potential, good foot in the door for capital markets, potential to go perm, technical training (i.e. Pluralsight license upon request)

Responsibilities of Java Developer

Communicate with the stakeholders of the application and technology peers to deliver the functionality
Coordinate with onshore business and technology teams
Set direction, guide and mentor team members on technical direction of implementations
Ensure development and build out of a high quality development team
Design/architect solutions to deliver on business requirements
Proactively solve problems and coordination of teams



Requirements of Java Developer

Passion for software craftsmanship
Drive to understand and exercise emerging technology trends
Ability to hear business strategy and solution technical delivery
Current (or recent) experience in server-side core java, with a focus on multi-threading and low latency systems



Pluses of Java Developer

Current (or recent) experience in Capital Markets domain is preferred
Experience with Spring, Relational Databases, Autosys, Unix Scripting, Big Data, Oracle Coherence, CI (Jenkins)
