Description:
This position is a posting for a consolidated 24 X 7 NOC that supports data network and Customer Service based technologies.

The candidate must be well educated and experienced in LAN/ WAN and telecommunication systems. The position requires working knowledge of Customer Service based technologies; ensure the overall telecom needs of the call center departments are met, including statistical analysis, process improvements, systems support, capacity planning for hardware and voice circuits; proactive maintenance of the inbound and outbound voice circuit network; the collection and statistical analysis of customer service data used to determine call routing requirements, database configuration and maintenance for internal databases and database links, internal website design and management, trunk usage and maximization of system efficiency; evaluation and recommendation of new technologies used to increase overall Customer Service effectiveness.

Candidate will be in an operational support group troubleshooting an enterprise network and needs a high degree of troubleshooting and will need to be proficient in Cisco network LAN/WAN troubleshooting.

Candidate will be responsible for operational tasks supporting high availability, rapid recovery and restoration of a complex and large network environment. Proactively monitor and manage all production network systems to maximize system availability. Analyze and ensure the resolution of technical and client problems while providing quality customer service. Evaluate and develop network/operational solutions to fulfill business requirements. Candidate will lead resolution and recovery efforts of cross-functional technicians and troubleshoot issues reported by proactive alarming or problem notifications reported by end-users. Candidate can translate highly technical ideas/principles into comprehensive/descriptive business language for peer groups/management to effectively assist/resolve issues. Candidate will have the ability to multitask: trouble resolution of several devices while providing status on the phone and documenting tickets.


Position is typically at 24/7 business operation. Incumbent may be required to work off shifts (i.e. 2nd, 3rd, shift including weekend day as normal workday),
2 (2) years experience with Aspect Spectrum Version 8 or higher
Certification in Aspect Hardware administration
Working knowledge of CISCO ICM routing processes and system components
Working knowledge of IEX, Witness (Verint), Crystal/Business Objects reports and Aspect CTI
Working knowledge of Avaya and Aspect auto-dialers
Working knowledge of database management and support processes
Working knowledge of statistical reporting processes for system and service metrics
Performs medium/small size technical tasks with moderate level of complexity. Problem resolution and designing is required.
Technical aptitude, including ability to understand detailed technical information
Can demonstrate ability to analyze problems, develop solutions and make decisions that impact technical assignments.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
6 years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Excellent technical (e.g., systems design) and/or analytical skills
Excellent knowledge of networking (e.g., LAN/WAN) and/or computer (e.g., micro, mainframe) operations
PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, e-mail, etc.)
Working knowledge of project management concepts
Excellent business knowledge
In-depth knowledge of information systems concepts
In-depth knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, an
