Description :

Senior Oracle PL/SQL and Crystal Reports Developer/Analyst:
The person we are looking for will be a senior member of a team that will perform all tasks associated with the full system development life cycle:
Analysis, Design, Programming, Testing, Implementation, Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Will be expected to perform the following functions:

Use communication skills in order to work with end users in analyzing their requirements.
Mentor junior developers in software development best practices.
Use analytical skills to learn our users business processes, document the data and process models and troubleshoot and maintain existing applications.
Design systems that meet user requirements.
Write efficient, error free programs that are easily maintainable by other programmers and conform to Bank coding standards.
Develop systems in a team environment and contribute to overall efficiency by writing reusable code, and reusing code written by others, where appropriate.
Provide technical specifications documentation that is understandable by other technical people.
Write applications that are easy to support and maintain and to provide testing routines, error handling and error logging as part of the applications delivered.
Use collaborative skills to work with database administrators, system managers and external application mangers in order to ensure reliability, availability, and application performance.
Use analytical skills to troubleshoot and maintain applications as needed.

Competencies:

Develops, operates and maintains mission critical financial applications. This person will work with financial trading, accounting and data warehousing applications and should demonstrate an understanding of the needs of these types of applications as well as the ability to quickly learn new applications.
Using our existing people as benchmarks, we observe that the level of maturity required for this type of work can be found in people who have had at least eight years of relevant experience. However, we believe that the quality of the person, the quality of the experience, and the difficulty of tasks previously performed, are more valuable than the number of years
.
MUST HAVE SENIOR LEVEL SKILLS IN PL/SQL DEVELOPMENT AND CRYSTAL REPORTS DEVELOPMENT
Oracle 10g, SQL and PL/SQL, PL/SQL Standard Packages
Crystal Reports Designer and Business Objects
Oracle Security, specifically as it pertains to web-based applications.
Analysis, Design and Data Modeling
Unit, Integration and Regression Testing Techniques

Additional consideration will be given to those individuals who possess the following specific competencies:
Version Control Software, specifically CVS
Business Objects API.
