Handles and leads various large-scale or highly complex data/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing highly complex logical and/or physical databases; leading highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts; developing management policies, procedures and standards; and business requirements identification, analysis and development. Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of database design, administration and! /or modeling activities. Leads complex projects. The position is posted for the following locations: AZ-Chandler, MN-Minneapols, and NC-Charlotte/Winston Salem . No California Cadidates will be considered for this Position. Additional requirements include advanced SQL 2005 & SQL 2008 skills, with particular emphasis on performance tuning. Applicant must have experience with high availability systems, including Windows/SQL clustering, database mirroring, log shipping, and replication. Strong problem resolution skills required. Strong verbal and written skills required. Preferred skills include knowledge of regulatory and risk issues within a financial services IT environment. This is a production database administrator position with emphasis on keeping databases up, recoverable, and running efficiently. This is not a development/application DBA position although there may be some measure of support for application DBAs in terms of code review, table design, etc. Data modeling skills are not a requirement. Applicant is expected to take a rotation of production on call support, responding and resolving issues in a timely manner.
