The ideal candidate will be a self starter, strong in leadership and organizational skills and have a passion for data architecture and e-commerce development. We need someone who will propose bold changes to existing systems with a non-biased view of technology while also understanding and communicating the risks of proposed solutions. As our site depends heavily on Oracle 11G as its data back end, the candidate must also be an expert in Oracle 11G with commensurate experience in a high performance transactional environment. The senior web database developer will: • Provide Oracle 11G database support for website and our other digital channels • Lead data access tuning efforts with an understanding of data caching at all levels (From the edge to the database) • Oversee and assist with developing data models across our digital channel efforts • Act as a liaison to the DBA team in matters pertaining to digital channel development and support. • Map the structure and organization of the relevant data for our digital channel systems • Interact daily with business analysts and project teams • Define and maintain logical data model for lands end digital channels • Utilizes industry & competitive knowledge to apply the most current and appropriate ideas in a forward-looking manner to support the business & also to anticipate new opportunities • Conduct vendor/technology evaluation as appropriate • Influence the acceptance of new technologies that drive consistency, efficiency & agility to the organization Technical Skills • Experience in e-commerce application development • Expertise in Oracle 11G capabilities and tuning • Expertise in SQL tuning • Java programming experience preferred • Experience in data analysis, conceptual and logical data modeling, data integration mechanisms • Experience with non-relational databases including Graph, Document and Map • Experience with data-modeling tool such as Erwin • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and be self-directed • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills - lead, collaborate, facilitate, and negotiate as necessary   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
