Desired Skills & Experience - Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate. - Graduate Degree preferred - Minimum 5 -7-year experience in a DBA capacity for the specific database solution - Expert knowledge of database design, performance tuning and auditing - Strong written and verbal communication - Excellent interpersonal skills - Installation and configuration of any industry standard database software (e.g., DB2, UDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase) - Validate database design and adapt normalization methods for improving performance - Any tuning of database parameters and other techniques as needed - Develop backup and recovery processes, including performing such operations if need arises - Provide database related consulting to Application Developers and Architects during design - identifies database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems. - Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications. - Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements. - Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products. - Supports database functions by designing and coding utilities. - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. - Exposure Test Data Management (TDM) solutions and framework on Mainframe (IMS & DB2 on zOS) and distributed platforms using various scripts & (at least one of the) tools such as IBM Optim, CA TDM, Delphix, RedGate etc.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
