Understanding of building new Progress DBMS environments 5. Write procedures, packages, triggers, functions etc. Implement and test backup/recovery strategies for production database, Setting up monitoring and configuring them as per Customer requirement. 6. Tune various database parameters and optimize queries, Write shell scripts , work on automation of various processes 7. Experience with Oracle 11g and later versions a plus, Experience with database architecture and design, Experience with database tools. 8. In-depth experience with database design, performance tuning and optimization, including indexes, table partitioning, compression, etc. ,In-depth experience with SQL clustering, replication and mirroring,Experience troubleshooting and resolving database issues. 9. Experience with data warehouse/large database implementation and support. 10. Experience in security administration using roles and profiles mechanism 11. Experience with database security and alerts management Knowledge of Unix / Linux 1. Proficient in Progress installations on Unix and Linux platforms, Strong database administration and tuning skills, Experience with large size production databases 2. Database capacity planning expertise, Ability to write shell scripts 3. Solid knowledge of Database performance tuning 4. Experience on Progress database Replication 5. Experience in Web Speed, App Server, 4GL a plus 6.
