The Web Developer designs, develops, operates and maintains static and dynamic web sites and applications for multiple internet and intranet sites with demonstrated expertise in using languages and tools, including those listed in the section 3 Scope of Work, to include but not limited to: HTML, CSS, PHP, CGI, XML/XSLT, JSP, JAVA, Java Script, Ajax, XHTML, Perl, Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, Google search, and MySQL database. Develops and maintains computer graphics and images for the web. Understands and documents user requirements, and designs and develops them into web sites that incorporate usability best practices. Documents and tests all work products and changes before deployment to production. Scans all developed code for known security vulnerabilities and resolves them to produce error free and secure code. Modifies web sites and updates web content taking assignments from EGSS content management staff. Works under the general technical direction of the contractor team lead. Monitors web usage statistics (from Google Analytics/Urchin) and produces and updates analytics reports. Identifies, diagnoses and fixes website problems, including broken links. Operates, maintains and administers web development, presentation and hosting tools, products and databases to include media, content management, trouble ticket tracking and version control systems. Assists EGSS with collecting information and prepares documents required in the Certification and Accreditation of its systems. 0-3 Plus Years Java Web Development At least two web developer FTE positions shall be experienced in tagging web site and content with accessibility codes and testing to ensure the web sites are compliant to accessibility requirements of the section 508 of the ADA. Working knowledge and experience coding in Java.
