Job Description : Data Center Infrastructure Management Engineer The Data Center Infrastructure Management Engineer is responsible for executing the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) strategy, enhancing workflow, and maintaining the DCIM tools that are utilized for data center space, power and connectivity planning as well as monitoring various activities. The DCIM engineer must continuously maintain an up-to-date inventory of equipment, peripherals and connectivity (power and data) in the DCIM tool(s) by proactively coordinating with the Execution and Operations teams. The DCIM Engineer will work with Global data center teams and asset management teams to ensure the DCIM tool(s) accurately reflects the installed data center equipment and will work with the site facilities teams to verify the accuracy of the underlying power/cooling infrastructure. Monitoring activities may include power, cooling and security functions based on available equipment and options. The DCIM Engineer will be responsive for Administrative duties specific to the DCIM product/suite which may include license management, reporting via SQL, access management, supporting version upgrades which will require collaboration across internal application support teams and Database Administrators. Key responsibilities include: * A solid understanding of data center equipment including; network/server/storage hardware, power/cooling/security equipment, infrastructure cabling and hardware components. * Subject Matter Expertise on the DCIM application including configuration, functionality, options, licensing and support. * Ability to create reports and presentations from the DCIM tool for planning, inventory, operations and auditing purposes. * Experience in conducting audit and inventory activities * Ability to create documentation for and provide training to data center staff * Ability to understand and follow procedures to ensure all work is done in a diligent and successful manner. * Ability to communicate with peers, management and customers in a professional and timely manner * Knowledge and experience with change request, safe time and service request procedures Manager Notes: Will this be temp to perm?
