This project presents an opportunity to be responsible for the green field design of the firms external data communications, including Internet access, trading and market data connectivity and other B2B connectivity. Responsibilities would include: Responsible for the design and implementation of a new DMZ infrastructure Work with Engineers from within the IT infrastructure group to develop a next generation design (IT, Storage, Platform etc..) Create project charter with the team including the definition of completion criteria Work with internal clients and senior management in accomplishing project objectives Gather stakeholder input and rank top program/project risks in terms of total impact Translate business goals and objectives into a concrete strategy and tactical plans Ensure project is meeting business goals and benefit objectives Disposition of project risks, issues and/or concerns Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting, estimate to actual variance, capital project management etc. Stay in sync with project sponsor, steering committee, project manager and project team members Facilitate project sponsor and steering committee decisions necessary for program delivery Communicate project synthesis to stakeholders Communicate project risks, issues and/or concerns to steering committee or other relevant stakeholders Vet/analyze proposed solutions to ensure project will meet goals Position Requirements: Ten or more years of IT infrastructure experience Strong networking background with good breadth of knowledge across other IT domains (security, platform, storage) Proven track record of taking responsibility for and delivering complex network solutions Experience in market data and trading environments Experience designing DMZ/WAN/Extranet/ISP connectivity Strong history of partnership with the user base Excellent at visualizing and describing strategies and direction Able to quickly synthesize information and take appropriate actions Accountable for results and holds others accountable Goal oriented and able to see the big picture Perceptive about things happening around them, what it means and what do about them Understands when to escalate issues Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria: CCIE is a plus F5, DNS, firewall experience Financial industry experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
