JISD wishes to improve the platform by purging invalid data from the system and importing data from an alternate system. JISD is seeking a Documentum Applications Developer who understands Documentums Data Model, Object Model, Security Model. The candidate should have experience with xCP 2.x, have knowledge of task manager customization, workflow development, process builder / manager and workflow method development. This professional should be able to work with business users to translate business requirements into technical specifications. They should be able to develop technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal JISD staff. Responsibilities 1. Identify the invalid dataset from the active dataset 2. Create backup of the ingested legacy data 3. Identify which data types, amount of data (by type), which xCP UI data elements etc., would be impacted 4. Review with the customer on the impact of removing the ingested invalid data from the system (from xCP standpoint) 5. Create scripts to (a) remove, (b) rollback & (c) validate, the invalid data from the xCP application. 6. Remove the invalid data from the xCP system 7. Review/validate the results; rollback & re-ingest if issues are identified 8. With the ingested invalid data removed from the xCP application: 1. Develop design to determine how best to ingest the dataset from a functional/usability standpoint 2. How the data from a legacy system must be mapped to the xCP system. (Example: an object created in legacy system and the xCP system would have different artifacts and hence the mapping of the data elements would not be strictly one to one) 3. Determine what dependencies are required for each data element to be ingested into the xCP application. (Example: a custom type must adhere to a specific file plan requirements to support the application integrity) 9. Create scripts to (a) ingest, (b) rollback & (c) validate, the migration into the xCP application 10. Develop new xCP UI to support the newly migrated data set 11. Generate report on which types would be impacted, by what volume, which xCP UI elements etc., to review with the customer prior to executing the migration 12. Execute and validate the data ingestion 13. Rollback/re-ingest if errors are identifiedAnalyzes existing attributes and permission sets for possible issues impacting the application. 14. Defines resources and schedule for project implementation. 15. Performs team assessments and evaluations. 16. Designs and maintain technical and project documentation. 17. Communicates technical issues and challenges in a timely manner to the technical lead and/or management. 18. Gathers business requirements, makes technical recommendations and leads implementation efforts within the organization. Qualifications 1. Strong Documentum fundamentals (DQL, DFC, API, Composer etc.) 2. xCP application development experience with the capability to review existing application and determine types, dependencies & relationships 3. Strong Oracle database skills -- data analysis, complex queries/scripts etc. 4. Strong scripting/development experience using DFC/API & Oracle 5.
