Configures solutions in accordance with the scope set out in the statement of works and in line with the agreed specification of client requirements. Implements features in line with internal guidelines and produce corresponding user documentation. Assist in preparing the test environment and carry out testing in line with the test scenarios set out, including testing of any new elements of software. User Relationships Develops strong relationships with various levels within the organization, with a particular focus on users, user managers and stakeholders. Uses persuasion and influencing skills to participate in change management within the client organization and to ensure user acceptance. Assists teams to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Replicate, analyze, and diagnose any issues reported by the user. Resolve directly or by reference to development. Provide feedback and resolution summaries for all issues. Technical Competencies: Advanced expert database handling languages (SQL and variants) Expert in data modeling (physical and logical), ER diagrams, data dictionary, data map, normalize/denormalize, agile data modeling Expert in data manipulation tools such as: SSMS, SSIS, TOAD, Access, Excel, Info Steward, Data Services Practical skill sets in BI and Data visualization tools Knowledge of other programming languages and ability to write code (i.e. VBA, python, XML) Preferred candidate should: Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical skills, and employ judgment to offer thoughtful, concise input toward resolutions of problems. Be able to translate data requirements into business processes and reverse engineer business processes into data requirements Evaluates new data sources to assess quality and determine integration approach. Performs data analysis on source system data as needed. Analyzes operational and analytical data requirements by working with cross functional business and application development teams Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. Participates in efforts with development teams to review, update and approve the data portion of project designs, participate in cost/benefit analysis and preparation of project plans. Develops strategies for data warehouse implementation following industry best practice (Inmon or Kimball), creating conceptual, logical and physical models for implementation.
