Customer purchased their first Vblock earlier in 2013 and there was a resident for 1 month with VMAX expertise to assist them. Customer made a large Data Domain and Avamar purchase in Q4 (along with a couple small Vblocks) and now looking for help configuring their backups for the 2 main data centers and branch locations. Customer looking at additional small Vblock purchases in the future. There is a sequence of events that will happen to to begin using existing HW and then some HW redeployment to other locations. An EMC PM is assigned and will be coordinating. Looking to have the resident start date overlap with the installation/configuration work if possible. Evo1 is a Software-as-a-Service company. Not a healthcare Resident responsibilities include (be specific in Resident expectations/tasks): Backup of SQL DB & VMWARE environments leveraging DD and AVAMAR Technologies As a shared infrastructure, there will be varying Retention Policies and replication/off Site Requirements Virtualization -> Assist with sizing environment and overall backup performance General understanding EMC Technologies and Virtualization , and how they integrate with the BRS Solution, supplement customer current DD and Avamar skills Ideally, someone who has come out of a shared infrastructure/ segmented infrastructure/ SaaS provider/ private cloud/ service provider background. Or someone who has facilitated multiple clients through a shared infrastructure.
