Scope will also include assessing new technologies and providing recommendations for planning and implementation of those technologies. This position will collaborate with various State personnel from ITSD and a number of different State agencies, as required and directed by the State. Engineers will report to Cloud Operations and Governance Manager, Kevin McCarthy. Architects will report to Deputy Chief Enterprise Architect, Garret Miller. The scope of duties related to this PAQ are noted below: Azure Data Architect * Design, create, and manage a data architecture. This includes defining the overall structure and organization of data, as well as the relationships and interactions between different data elements. * Design and implementing data models and database structures that align with business requirements. * Ensure data consistency, integrity, and quality by establishing data governance policies and standards. * Develop strategies for data storage, backup, and recovery. * Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to optimize data flow and accessibility. * Evaluate and selecting appropriate data storage technologies and platforms. This position will consult and assist as needed. This position will be 75% on-site in Jefferson City, Missouri. The proposed candidates will be dedicated to the State at least 40 hours every week, with appropriate, non-billable, time-off as approved by the State. Should ITSD determine the proposed candidate is not meeting the requirements set forth by the State, the State shall have the option to change architects and term, with qualified resumes being submitted within 5 days and a resource switch to occur within 45 days unless an exception is granted by the State.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
