This position has a unique level of expertise in designing, building, consolidating, and maintaining internal data reporting systems. This position is critical to supporting the departments quality assurance requirements used to improve statewide Human Service performance by better connecting and analyzing performance data. This position supports work that informs and influences management decisions within the Colorado Department of Human Services and beyond to local level providers such as County Departments of Human Services. This position accesses data from many systems, designs, builds, and maintains databases and reporting systems. This position understands complex logic needed to develop relational databases, develop and translate SQL code to extract data for systems, and synthesizes the data into intuitive, easy to understand reports and reporting tools. Scope of Work: • Years of demonstrated experience as an SQL developer and database administrator • Years of demonstrated experience with data visualization and report creation • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to interpret and analyze data • Keen attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus across work units and programs • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills • Excellent planning and organizing skills • Advanced proficiency with SQL • Exceptional proficiency with the following software/programs/IT solutions/platforms: o Oracle o Microsoft Access o TOAD Data Point o Microsoft SQL Server Minimum Requirements: • Three (3) years of professional experience as a developer or database administrator • Three (3) years of experience with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, TOAD Data Point, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access • Experience developing and maintaining Google Data Studio reports Preferred Experience: • Experience working with Public Assistance Programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
