Job Description:
This is a multi-faceted position that will provide support in different capacities. Candidate shall have the following responsibilities:

General knowledge of HP hardware.
Deploys/Builds out new HPUX/UNIX Servers based on standards set by Engineering.
Follows the Engineering Deployment Guide directions while building new servers.
Develop, implement and create deployment plans for infrastructure related projects that affect the organization.
Install and configure, maintain/upgrade and troubleshoot HPUX/UNIX servers.
Turnover HPUX/UNIX servers built to set specifications to the Operations/Run team via a Turnover to Operations Checklist.
Duties will include provisioning & hardening HPUX/UNIX servers.
Creation of standard build templates and scripts to automate the build of HPUX/UNIX servers to ensure a faster deployment.
Patching of newly built servers based on contract and vendor requirements.
Assist in server hardware maintenance when needed.
Utilize common and specialized tools and test equipment.
Make recommendations for hardware upgrades and research new hardware solutions.
Create physical and logical diagrams of hardware environment so that it may be turned over to Operations/Run.
Resolve server issues during deployment.
Make recommendations for improvements.
Knowledgeable of RHEL Linux, backup and restore technologies, and Storage Systems.
Creation of TRP documentation for Disaster Recovery drills.
