Exadata plus. Excellent knowledge of Oracle Data Guard plus. Familiarity with Oracle 12C is a plus. Working knowledge Project Life cycle (PMLC). SKILLS REQUIRED 1. Migrate large databases and small databases to Oracle 11g/12c from lower version. Experienced in configuring dataguard environment for DR/high availability solution. Must have experience import/export utility or data pump or custom sql statements over dblinks. 2. Administer, Implement, and maintain Oracle databases on Unix platforms using OEM, DBArtisan, and SQLPlus. 3. Understand and be able to trouble shoot advanced Unix shell and PL/SQL scripts for automating database builds and other Oracle database maintenance activities. 4. Building new databases working as an active contributor on a Project DBA team. 5. Create professional quality operational, procedural, and standards documentation for turnover documents using Microsoft Word. Good written communication skills are required. 6. Good oral communication skills. Candidate needs to be able to speak his opinion diplomatically. Must be an active contributor to project design efforts and not simply an order taker. 7. Identify and resolve Oracle performance issues using SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL Profiles, SQL Plan Baselines, indexing strategy, Oracle configuration parameter analysis, and SQL coding enhancements. 8. Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, must have good organizational skills. ADDITIONAL JOB SUMMARY ------------------------ Performs data modeling, logical and physical database design based on a thorough knowledge of modeling techniques, the modeling tools available on the project, and the business functions of the subject system. Performs database administration including tasks such as loading data, managing data security and user access, performance monitoring and tuning, and all aspects of data integrity, backup, recovery, and user support. Plans, executes, and maintains database capacity, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery plans. Familiar with all phases of database project development lifecycle (i.e. Assists programmers to troubleshoot and tune programs in terms of efficient database usage) Thorough knowledge of the subject DBMS, DML (SQL), DDL, utilities, services, troubleshooting, architecture, syntax, etc Sufficient expertise with the host operating and network environments to completely provide all required functions and services including estimating and monitoring of all required hardware, coding and execution of administration jobs, and monitoring and archiving backup files   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
