Job Description Architect: Design, Project Manager, Documentation,

Description:

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

Coordinate the activities of the project teams.
Responsible for the strategy, integration and design of the applications and platforms. Creates, validates and/or implements hardware and software design and changes to provide a platform for the NYEIS application.
Provides direction to the development team in execution of the construction, enhancement, and operation of the application.
Monitor System performance and perform corrective measures including administrative procedures.
Work closely with Project Manager and ITS Manager on active/pending projects, Prepare Documentation, Address Level 3 Help Desk tickets as needed.
Administrative Tasks: Attend and participate in meetings, prepare a weekly report, complete NYS LATS timecard daily.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Preferred Qualifications:

84 months experience designing, deploying, and/or managing a three-tier, high-availability system running on open systems using virtual servers
84 months experience of overseeing and directly designing, implementing, and managing internal and external application or electronic data interfaces.
48 months experience managing web application servers, such as WebSphere.
72 months experience with Systems Analysis and documenting/updating system information
48 months experience with monitoring tools such as Tivoli and CA Wily Introscope
48 months network configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
36 months experience with planning and implementing platform upgrades.
60 months experience in Oracle 10g or higher development.
24 months experience managing an application built using Cúram
Candidate has a bachelors degree in an Information Technology related field
