JOB SUMMARY: Senior Interactive Designer Collaborating with the marketing team and other client groups to meet interactive design needs (websites, mobile applications, interactive animation) requiring specialized expertise in graphic design and related graphic design technologies; interactive user interface design and best practices; HTML and related languages; Flash; CSS; javascript, XML, Adobe Creative Suite and other technical programming languages; Creates designs that engage, attract and sell including advertisements, brochures, banner ads, promotional displays and signage. Also responsible for working with creative team to maintain brand and style guideline standards across all design efforts. LOCATION: Dallas, TX ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES X Creates interactive designs for websites, mobile applications and interactive animation using design and user interface programming technologies, including HTML, javascript, CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign and the like X Work with the marketing team and other clients to create interactive design solutions to support interactive marketing campaigns and strategic digital initiatives X Create, test, troubleshoot, fix problems that occur with HTML prototypes, CSS and javascript; optimize as needed X Help brainstorm and develop new marketing campaigns and digital design solutions X Needs a clear understanding of each facet of the design process - information architecture + interaction design + usability, rapid prototyping, visual + brand integration, and content creation. You will partner with product marketing managers, marketing program managers and creative services team members to help meet marketing program goals and objectives. X Takes creative assets and transforms them into Flash builds. Works closely with creative and production teams to materialize creative vision. Also responsible for the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Flash and Action Script based components or applications. X Also responsible for the design, layout and formatting of materials. Designs may integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative and other elements. Must have a strong sense of concept development, in addition to communication, research, problem-solving and presentation skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education/Experience X 5-7 years design experience in fast paced corporate marketing department or advertising/design agency X A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Computer Animation, Interface Design, Interaction Design or equivalent experience. 2. Skills or Special Abilities Requirements: X Meticulous sense of detail and ability to seek out simple solutions to complex design challenges. X Always approach a project from multiple angles, and deliver a variety of solutions X Deep understanding of fundamental visual design disciplines (typography, iconography, composition, color, composition, layout, etc.) X Must demonstrate that he/she is a strong and positive team player with a hands-on approach to ensure marketing goals are met. X Ability to identify the essence of a brand or existing design and duplicate that look in other layouts or formats. X Works collaboratively across multifunctional teams. X Can educate internal teams and provide recommendations that fit the business needs. X Identifies problems and creates innovative solutions through teamwork.
