Job Description:

Verisk IoT/ Telematics is seeking DevOps Architect to lead the security, compliance and automation aspects of our IoT/ Telematics suite of applications hosted on AWS infrastructure. You will join the core technology team responsible for the exchange for connected cars and home that is one of its kind in the world! You will have an opportunity to work with exciting, cutting-edge technologies that will enable us to deliver innovative, fast, scalable and reliable products to our customers.

In this role, you will be working alongside a diverse group of talented individuals that are responsible for creating and maintaining high traffic, API/web products depended on by top auto manufacturers and insurance companies for their daily business.

Responsibilities:

· Provide subject matter expertise for DevOps practices.

· Automate deployments and monitoring of AWS services and code.

· Ensure the application platform and data is secure and compliant with Verisk and general industry guidelines

· Integrate application security into the software development practices along with CI/CD pipeline

· Establish CI/CD pipeline guidelines and serve as a focal point for communication across Teams

· Coordinate and collaborate extensively with Agile Development Teams to ensure teams adhere to CI/CD guidelines in following DevOps practices

· Lead the configuration of CI/CD pipelines and support/resolve technical related to CI/CD implementation

· Recommend and implement automated means that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including scripting, integration, problem resolution, and configuration management.

· Proactively seek out and minimize pain points

· Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and introduce them as needed

· Create next-gen solutions for unique and challenging use cases.

· Lead a team of junior engineers, provide guidance and mentorship
Qualifications

· Bachelors Degree in Science / Computer Science / Information Technology and 10 plus years of experience.

· Minimum 4 years in an AWS environment

· Have a strong sense of ownership

· Be focused, passionate, and strive to find simple solutions to complex problems

· Sound understanding as a security consultant over requirements ranging from network, security, cloud, audit and assessment to security architecture

· Understanding of the Application Security landscape and Secure Software Development Lifecycle.

· Experience leading DevOps implementation in large programs especially integrating applications, reengineering and automating systems to improve end-to-end software life cycle management by means of automation.

· Integrate application security into the software development along with CI/CD pipeline

· Technical knowledge of IT processes to include configuration management, networking, database management, application coding, availability, data center operations, etc.

· Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

· Preferably certified in AWS skills
