Description:
Title- Software Engineer
Location- MN or NJ

What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment?
Provider Facility Contracting and Credentialing

Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team? If so, please describe the team? (Name of team, size of team, etc.)
This position is an individual contributor working as part of a software engineering scrum teams.

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)
o Performing in an agile scrum team and building, unit testing, and deployment of the software.
o Develop software using Java Technology Stack (Java 8 +, Spring Boot, Angular, React, etc.)
o Familiar with Docker and OpenShift technologies using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline as a code
o Contribute to the software design of product features, and implement user stories
o Implement software best practices such as logging, log aggregation, monitoring, swagger, etc.
o Submit Pull Requests as part of the code merge & deployment process
o Partner with Advanced technology teams to implement AI technologies involving NLP and ML
o Partner with DevOps teams on resolving code defects, and continuous improvement of the code
o Collaborate with the to meet project timelines in a sprint

What skills/attributes are a must have?
o 2+ years in the software engineering profession
o 2+ years experience with Java technology development stack (Java 8 and higher, Spring Boot, Avro Schema, Cucumber, etc.)
o 1+ years hands-on expertise with building Micro Services
o Experience with using modern technology stack like Docker, Open Shift, Jenkins pipeline as a code
o Experience with cloud solutions
o Experience with AWS, Kafka
o Experience with Serialization, and Apache Avro Schemas
o Experience with Agile Central (aka Rally)

Where is the work to be performed? (Please list preferred UHG facility, if other please specify i.e. remote work, rural, etc.)
MN051 and/or NJ006 to support co-located team structure

What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc)
