Job Description : The DevOps Engineer is responsible for maturing the DevOps mindset within the agile teams using techniques such as Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery to provide quality products with seamless integration across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Release Management roles. Primary Responsibilities but not limited to: •Maintain, tune, troubleshoot and continuously improve operation of application infrastructure, monitoring and code pipelines, focusing on data tier components. •Provide engineering thought leadership to engineering team. Participate in design and brainstorming sessions for platform enhancement. •Automate common system operational and maintenance tasks. •Work with development teams to coordinate and automate software deployments. •Proactively communicate high-priority incidents and escalations. •Communicate status and complex technical concepts to audiences of varying technical ability. •Research new tools and technologies and assist with the automation of deployments and monitoring tools •Help encourage a DevOps Culture to deliver high quality applications and infrastructure. •Infrastructure automation in the public and private cloud domains. •Identifying bottlenecks in the development process and implement solutions . What we are looking for: •Experience with IT operational automation and configuration management tools and DevOps practices, processes and tools (Git, CICD, JPAC , Jenkins etc.). •Experience building containers with Docker files ( kubernetes, etc.) •Working Knowledge of deployments in a Docker/Kubernetes cluster •Proficient with a scripting language (Groovy, Bash, Shell) •Excellent communication skills (both strong written and verbal English is a must) •Self-motivated, resourceful, creative, innovative, results driven, and adaptable with solid problem solving and analytical skills Required: •Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. •Demonstrated expertise deploying, maintaining and monitoring in a public cloud environment •Experience with IT operational automation and configuration management tools and DevOps practices, processes and tools (Git, CICD, JPAC, etc.). •Experience, packaging, deploying and managing containerized workloads running in common PaaS solutions (i.e. Kubernetes) •Some experience in at least one high level programming language (Java preferred). •Familiarity with RESTful applications and APIs. •Proficient in scripting languages (shell, groovy, bash etc) •Knowledge of container architectures (Docker, kubernetes) •Experience with traditional Java based Web applications (Apache/Tomcat/Jboss) Preferred: •Experience administering applications in public cloud (OpenShift preferred). •Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, etc •Proven experiences with development and delivery using DevOps Practices •Experience using Agile methodology. •Proven experience with operational automation and process tools ( JPAC preferred)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
