Design systems to be used and owned by hundreds of engineers, for projects impacting hundreds of thousands of users Collaborate and iterate on solutions with project teams Advocate for teaching and learning for yourself, for team members, and all collaborators Describe and refine concerns for existing, critical, monolithic systems Establish patterns to be adopted by teams and engineers of very different backgrounds Address development lifecycle problems systematically and analytically, anticipating downstream needs Environment and tools Containerization and orchestration solutions (such as Docker, Kubernetes) Build automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet Heavy use cases of SCM (specifically Git and Subversion) Lead Release Consultant Requirements: Ability and experience in providing guidance on which open source technologies should be utilized to achieve Build and Release goals. Experience in being a leader and helping guide others and proposing your opinions with reasoning behind them. Experience managing a very large scale systems in production. Experience working in a true DevOps environment, and developing pipelines for automation to develop software. Extensive hands on experience with Ansible and AWX. Hands on experience with tools such as Puppet, Docker, Jenkins. Ability and willingness to work within pair programming environment. Excellent communication skills. Ability to move fast and worked in an unstructured environment.
