The primarily responsibility includes modern web application development supporting a highly visible Lilly Life Sciences application that will be accessed by life sciences and academia professionals around the world. The platform assessment, including the database has not been chosen yet. The role requires full-stack development experience in both design and implementation, providing technical expertise, hands-on coding, and the oversight of standards and framework adherence. Do to the wide use of this application security protocol experience is a must. In addition, this role will bridge development, creative, integration, and testing strategies within a DevOPS solution delivery approach within an Agile development framework. The developer must have experience writing applications based on User Stories, no technical design documents will be provided. The candidate must be able to articulate how they would go about choosing a tool and explain the features of the technology. Job Duties will include: • Assist in developing frameworks or platforms for the developer team to use to optimize the delivery of the L2S2 program with associated developer tools • Evaluate and prototype technical capabilities from the developer community and emerging technology that would benefit the vision of the program • Collaboratively develop with the team coding standards, design reviews, framework best practices, tool sets and industry development trends in alignment with the Technical Lead • Coordinate environment, code promotion and environment refreshes using DevOps methodologies and tools • Closely partner with team members to ensure the resulting implementation from the creative design aligns with the customers desired experience Candidates with the following technology stack would most likely be successful in this environment: • Advanced knowledge and experience with JavaScript/Java development; including Modern Web UI technologies (e.g. transpilers, Rest JSON, Falcor, GraphQL, jQueryMobile, Angular, React, Ember, Bootstrap, NodeJS, etc) and techniques (e.g. SPA, RWD, progressive disclosure, etc) Advanced Java / JavaScript experience required. Oracle/Postgres, and NoSQL (Redis/Neo4j/MongoDB/Virtuoso). • Understanding of container based infrastructure and experience with cloud hosted infrastructure services such as Heroku or Amazon Web Services for applications. • Experience with strong understanding of web and mobile security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and TSL/SSL or similar Required Skills: • Strong experience as a full-stack developer with a keen focus on JavaScript engineering • Experience with micro-service architecture, caching, and multi-device application development • Experience with integration platforms such as Apache Kafka, API gateways, and Swagger/Strongloop • Experience with DevOps automation solutions, platforms, and tooling within an application team such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Chef • Experience developing pervasive web application solutions, targeting "all common browsers, on any device" • Experience providing technical leadership within and across developer teams • Experience in delivering IT solutions leveraging vendors and external services • Extensive experience in delivering systems with multiple points of integration with other technologies or applications • Knowledge of foundational UX/UI design principles. • Strong teamwork, self-management, problem-solving abilities • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Passion for delivering new capabilities with a creative startup-like mindset • Experience with advanced application security, database security, privileged access management, etc. Desirable skills could include • Experience working within the life scien   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
