DPL is responsible for creating the re-useable components (templates, modules, widgets, design patterns, APIs, Custom fontand a whole host of other custom features), used on Clients .com and other client Brand Web Properties. DPL supports the broader effort FUSE which is a major overhaul / re-platforming of all of clientss websites (100s of them). This role would play a key role in liaising with various Client businesses units, as they need to get their web properties (websites, etc) converted into FUSE. Consult with the businesses to help them understand what the client .com development team can and cant build, and how they can meet their business requirements. Play a key role in leadership of the DPL Development team, which follows an Agile methodology. You might possibly act as Scrum Master. This position allows you the freedom flex your technical abilities by architecting the entire teams solutions as well as leading others. Find new solutions or technologies to improve our web properties......client isnt necessarily looking for a full-blown architect; however they do want/need someone with an architectural mind set and some architectural skills, such that the DPLs get integrated and built with big picture in mind, integration strategies are sound, etc. Act as a SME across relevant technologies: FUSE and DPL core technologies include IBM Web Content Manager WCM (core CMS backbone that supports FUSE); HTML, CSS, JS (including require.JS), responsive design; JIRA; RESTful web services; various vendor APIs; other javascript libraries such as JQuery, Node.js, backbone.js, Underscore and Require.js. XSLT skills are also helpful. Backend skills are NOT required, however could prove useful. Sample re-usable components you might orchestrate building and/or related functions you might also help with, include: Enablement of translation of components to all languages around the world, all utilizing the same core components Created re-usable code snippets for content developers for ease of use when developing pages. Worked with QA team to build and test Design Patterns using an automated frame-work.
