This position was able to be created due to a backfill. Duties: The Senior Master Data Solution Engineer designs, develops, tests and maintains Master Data Management (MDM) technologies and processes partnering with Data Governance. Also, this role documents, develops, and manages the creation of logical and physical data models, source to target mapping documents, depicts end-to-end logical and physical designs, and performs administration and support for master data and data governance platforms/functions. This position requires technical to design and support MDM data processing involving multiple databases, data formats, and on premise and cloud consumption in conjunction with other data technology teams providing expertise in ETL, APIs, interfaces, and other relevant technologies. This individual is responsible for designing well-tuned and efficient processes; providing analysis on current levels of data quality and providing pathways to achieve high and improved data quality; and provide delivery excellence. Effective and proactive verbal and written communication, excellence in customer service and partnerships, and teamwork are key success factors for this senior position. This position leads the technical components of data integration processes around the master data and data governance functions. This position will work with various stakeholders including Business Analysts, DBAs, Data Architects, and Data Analytics and Technologies staff, along with business stakeholders including Data Stewards, executives and others to deploy master data and data governance solutions for improvement. Job Expectations: Design, assist in the development and testing, and support of master data management and data governance technologies and associated integration processes—serving an enterprise customer base. Apply initiation and leadership skills with IT, business owners, and end users to define and document business, technical, and operational requirements. Performs data quality (DQ) institution, implementation and socialization. Provide leadership, guidance & implementation with MDM/DQ standard methodologies, governance, standards and conventions. Translate business requirements into technical solutions, dealing well with ambiguity, and aligning deliverables with business goals. Perform data analysis, data profiling, and data modelling. Create, publish, distribute, and present design documents and other documentation, including logical or physical data models, end-to-end data integration diagrams, and Service Level Expectation documents. Effectively balances and prioritizes project delivery work with MDM and Data Governance SaaS product administration and support in a proactive, continuous improvement environment. Completes complex work assignments independently, takes initiative to perform gap analysis, discovers business outcomes, documents and confirms key understandings, and produces solutions with low production support footprints. Help various partner groups understand and improve data consistency, quality and flows. Ensure consistency of data across integrated systems and platforms; resolve deep technical issues when needed.
