Effective Performance Tuning requires a high level of coordination, cooperation, and integration among the TCG, Client Application Maintenance and Development, and the State. Major Responsibilities Understand and consult with various Client project teams regarding the Client Performance Tuning (the combination of hardware, network, application, and database together). Coordinate with the Client application maintenance and development and the State. Manage Client Performance Tuning to the extent required to support the development and maintenance efforts of Client. Maintain Client Performance Tuning in a manner that allows the State to grow, protect, and edit child support enforcement data in a manner that is cost effective, and ensures high performance and availability. Enforce standards for application coding. Ensure that application components are sufficiently robust to operate smoothly and without excessive maintenance effort. Review and analyze known problem areas of the Client application and make recommendations for improvement (e.g., more efficient code, index recommendations, and tuning recommendations). Inspect Client application code and make recommendations to improve commit/restart capability, modularity and maintainability, and error handling. Participate in functional design, technical design, and code review sessions with the Client application maintenance and development team and provide input as needed to those designs. When needed to resolve Production issues, to implement Production releases (typically 4 per year plus 15 to 20 Emergency Releases), or to provide planned maintenance (typically one weekend per month), provide support after normal business hours (i.e., nights, weekends, and holidays) and participate in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
