Job Description : Performance Engineer 6-month contract Typical Day: You will develop power tools and automation frameworks for continuous integration, performance measurement and analysis. Optimize systems end-to-end capacity by advising on infrastructure design, service and application tuning, solving complex service cluster architecture and transaction processing challenges with impact in data streaming, IoT applications, Platform, APIs and customer service experiences. Candidate Requirements Must have technical competency to write fast and efficient code, find inefficiencies and collaborate with others to make performance improvements. Must be able to measure performance gains in a demonstrable and a scientific way by creating and executing workloads and simulations. The candidate should be confident in discussing time/space system complexity and will engage in all phases of work, including performance design and scalability factors. Will own, with the team, performance related problems on production. Required Experience, Skills and Knowledge 5-7 years in testing and quality engineering with 5+ years of performance, scalability testing and performance tools Understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization Ability to identify system bottlenecks and provide a root cause analysis Experience in performance testing large scale distributed systems/ Microservices cloud architecture. Knowledge and experience in the use of JMeter/Gatling Experience with cloud-based application scalability, stress & concurrency testing tools Experience in testing Web Applications based on REST Strong skills in backend development languages, C# experience in an enterprise software production environment and/or cloud SaaS / PaaS preferred Proven experience with development and maintenance of performance tests in large-scale multi-tenant web applications Knowledge and experience in using Visualization Tools to create dashboards for performance analysis Preferred Qualifications Experience/ Knowledge of the following languages/ frameworks/ tools/ providers. (Gatling, C#, Python, Azure Services Fabric, IoThub, Service Bus, Jenkins, New Relic) Experience in analyzing SQL Server and DocumentDB performance related issues – i.e. query plan analysis Experience in Docker Containers, Kubernetes Experience with one or more Performance Testing tools, such as: JMeter with plugins, Blazemeter, K6, Taurus, Tsung, Locust, Gatling Top Candidate Skills Performance testing in large scale distributed systems 5-7 Strong skills in backend development languages, C# experience in an enterprise software production environment and/or cloud SaaS / PaaS preferred 5-7 Experience with cloud-based application scalability, stress & concurrency testing tools 5-7 Best vs. average scalability testing performance tools dig through code identify system bottlenecks JMeter Cloud based applications - Azure preferred C# SaaS experience very large distributed systems experience as a performance tester, knows what to look for in a bottleneck in a large-scale system Developing tools and framework   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
