This project will facilitate creation of this portal, using API to interact with the current system, and FIS for payment processing. Currently, the system generates invoices for payments, based on penalties from infractions of TOSHA law. These payments can only be accepted via check.This effort will create an online payment portal. The project will provide the customer with the ability to enter an inspection number. This number will then be used to retrieve penalty information from TPS which will be presented back to the customer. The customer will then be provided an option to make a partial or full payment. Information needed by FIS (the states payment portal vendor) will then be passed to FIS and the customer will enter credit card or electronic check information on the FIS site. Once approved, FIS will then send a confirmation back to the Payment Portal and an email will be generated to the customer as a receipt of payment. The customer will then be afforded the opportunity to enter another inspection number or close the browser. The application will also be expected to update TPS with selected payment information. The TPS application is a Java 7 application compiled to run in a Jboss 7.2 environment.
