Job Description: This individual will implement automated deployments and integrate monitoring / logging standards. This will be a key position within the Engineering portion of the Build and Release (BAR) team. This individual must have a solid understanding of DevOps and the Agile project methodology, as he/she will potentially act as a scrum master for some of the engineering related sprints. He/She will be providing leadership/guidance on some sprint related tasks. The individual will also mentor other individuals on the team – as well as partnering with counterparts in the Special Projects and Support sides of the team, providing assistance when needed/requested. Additional Responsibilities: Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, analysis efforts, testing and debugging of programs/solutions Reviews programs logic, test data preparation and documentation Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan Required Skills: 7+ years of application development and implementation experience Desired Skills: Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: build/deploy processes, and release management Ability to provide leadership to a technology team Knowledge and understanding of working in an Agile team Other Desired Skills: 3-4 years of Devops, application development and implementation experience 5+ years proven experience problem resolution and root cause analysis with complex/distributed systems 5+ years of leading efforts delivered successfully and on-time 3+ years of experience working with BAR-related tools, such as Anthill Pro, Puppet, Jenkins and/or uDeploy 3+ years as a tech lead or similar responsibilities Experience using a Continuous Integration tool (AHP and/or Jenkins) Automated deployment (AHP, uDeploy and/or Jenkins) SCM branch, merge, tag (Git, SVN, TFS and/or ClearCase) Write code/script (using Java, Ruby, Groovy and/or Shell (Unix)) Proven experience installing/configuring a SCM tool (SVN, Git and/or ClearCase) Experience installing/configuring an operating system (Windows and/or Linux) Knowledge of installing/configuring database software (Oracle, MySQL and/or SQL Server) Experience installing/configuring web servers (Apache and/or IIS, …) is good to have Proven track record of evaluating and assessing new tools and technologies; evolving the existing toolset with little-to-no disruption to our customers; will lead a number of complex engineering tasks in this area Ability to derive solid metrics showing where improvements can be made with processes, methodologies and tools such that the quality of work is maintained and the ability to move towards a more continual deployment strategy can be realized   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
