Description : The Department of Natural Resources Information Technology (DNR IT) execute program is seekingapplicants for a .Net Web Developer III position in support of the Division of External Services, Bureau of Watershed Management to design, develop, test, implement and maintain features for an application in .NET. This application, the BMP Implementation Tracking System (BITS), requires complex new modules to expand functionality for tracking water pollution reduction practices in the state. The development of new features, bug fixes, and minor enhancements will be needed, as well as refactoring of existing code to enhance the applications stability and performance. This work requires about50%-time (20 hrs/week) work for a candidate with advanced developer skillsets and experience. It is highly likely an additional 20 hours/week will be added for other DNR IT projects utilizing these same skillsets. The most qualified candidate will have: • Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net Framework. • Experience applying Object Oriented Design. • Coding experience in .Net MVC and/or .Net Core framework, including C#, VB.Net, Javascript and Bootstrap. • Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications. • Experience in SSRS for developing reports. • Experience creating web APIs. • Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL. • Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated in addition to code management. • Experience with coding standards and best practices. • Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results. • Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices • Experience resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. • Experience following Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Collaborates with others and is a team player to ensure project success. Additional skillsets that will also be helpful: • Experience writing technical documentation. • Experience with SharePoint. • Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs. • Experience working in Government.
