Job Description : This opportunity is to join our Data Center Consolidation Program as a Sr. IBMi Admin Software Deployment Technician supporting one of our pending Data Center closure site exits. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the quality of software deployment. They are involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of software and systems, mitigate risk and prevent software issues, assist with builds, environment and application deployment. Software Deployment duties, responsibilities, and understanding of systems * Understanding of LANSA systems, LANSA Partitions * Windows VL Development Environments, * Windows Oracle Database Servers and Windows Application Servers * Create and update AppV sequences * Collaborate closely with other team members and departments * Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) * Develop automation scripts when needed * Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies * Provide timely solutions * Apply quality engineering principals throughout the product lifecycle * Provide support and documentation * Including installation, configuration, running, testing, and making necessary changes Software deployment requirements and qualifications * IBM iSeries Admin (required) along with AppV Sequencing (required) along with Citrix XenApp 6.5/XenApp 7.x (required) along with LANSA Admin (preferred) * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously * 10 years of experience in data analysis and software testing * Jenkins/BitBucket experience preferred * Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision * Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on companys success * Critical thinker and problem-solving skills * Team player * Good time-management skills * Great interpersonal and communication skills Additional Skills: Advanced professional role.
