VIP is used to collect, register, issue and report on legal and statistical information related to births, deaths, fetal deaths, marriage and divorces and is/will be utilized by a large number of adult end-users with a varied range of skill sets and computer literacy, including hospital personnel, medical examiners, physicians, funeral directors, city/town clerks, and boards of health staff members. This breadth of stakeholders requires a focused resource that can coordinate and design the intensive training, documentation and related communications activities. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, experience with instructional design strategies for users with varying skill sets, experience with developing training modules and materials in a variety of formats, including e-learning. The candidate must possess a professional proactive approach to problem solving, reliability, and the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and processes. Scope of duties: 1. Develop training courses in a variety of in-person, synchronous online, and self-guided e-learning formats as well as supporting documentation and job aids. 2. Maintain and enhance existing training materials, manuals, and learning management system. 3. Plan, organize, implement and conduct statewide and online training sessions for VIP users. 4. Assist with outreach and informational sessions for VIP users and various professional organizations. 5. Assist with technical and help-desk support to new users of VIP. 6. Analyze user feedback, make recommendations and make adjustments accordingly. Qualifications: 1. Experience with software or technical instruction including hands-on computer training, synchronous online webinars, self-paced e-learning modules, and lectures. 2. Experience with implementing educational strategies for teaching adult learners. 3. Experience with writing and/or maintaining documentation such as user manuals, reference guides, and online help text. 4. Expertise with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and PowerPoint. 5. Experience with webinar and e-learning applications. Experience with Lectora, Camtasia and Adobe Professional software is extremely desirable. 6. Experience working independently, pro-actively completing project activities, communicating with subject-matter experts, and making recommendations for improvements in training strategies. 7. Experience with providing technical or help-desk support. Candidates must pass a background check.
