This site will be hosted at the Traffic Operations Center. The site design effort will follow the brand and user experience (UX) standards of the standalone udot.utah.gov web properties. The design and (UX) should aim to be as accessible as possible, both from a compliance standpoint and device standpoint. The selected site developer should work with us to develop a design system that is flexible enough to evolve and extend as content, template and brand needs change. The design and UX effort should include at a minimum: ? A process that is inclusive of our stakeholders and connects interface recommendations to real user needs and business objectives. ? A documented design system that is WCAG 2.0 AA compliant. (ie: styleguide) ? User experience documentation such as wireframes, sitemap and user flows that facilitate an effective transition from content organization to design to development. ? At least two design direction concepts for the internal team to respond to that include examples of homepage and major site components. ? Mechanisms for users to find information and documentation quickly (ie: robust search) ? Flexible templates and stylesheets that can be adapted for future content needs. ? Documentation of design styles/conventions for use in other projects. ? A simple content management system that is user friendly and easy to add/modify content ? Human factors design component, ensuring that the public facing website is self-explanatory and easy to use. ? The website should have the capability to embed videos, incorporate interactive infographics and show scrolling still photographs. ? Site design must be responsive ? Site should include a “contact us” section with email links, text boxes. ? Site should include the ability to survey customers through a dynamic portal The current webpage is built within the UDOT domain and prohibits the flexibility and autonomy that is needed for this group – both for internal administrators and external users. The solution we move forward with must be a future-focused content management system that keeps the organization aligned with modern technology standards and makes content maintenance manageable by a limited internal team.
